Frames for the purses

Pouches and purses with frames were worn on the belt, hung on special hooks, fibulas or ropes. They were used not only by men but also by women. They often served as wallets, but also as storage spaces for small everyday items. Purse frames were therefore not only a practical element, but also a manifestation of wealth and social position.
