Bycocket hats can be seen at almost every jousting tournament, fair or show. A very popular model. The accuracy is confirmed by a huge amount of iconography from the 14th and 15th centuries. It has a wide brim that is rolled up at the back and points forward like a bird's beak. In French it is called chapeau à bec due.
