A large hand-painted and glazed plate in the Spanish style with a blue bird. This dish was produced during the peak of technical creativity of the Manises potteries, at a time when Mudéjar ceramics in Valencia began to move away from the Hispano-Muslim decorative tradition and to incorporate new motifs, such as this realistic long-legged bird.
